Riley Hawk Setup FAQ
What deck does Riley Hawk ride?
Riley Hawk rides a Baker Skateboards Riley Hawk Pro Model 8.25″ deck in a 8.25" width as of 2026. Deck choice is the single biggest factor in a pro's setup — width affects stance and stability, while concave and construction drive pop and flick. You can shop the same Baker Skateboards Riley Hawk Pro Model 8.25″ deck through the buy links in the setup above.
What trucks does Riley Hawk use?
Riley Hawk uses Independent Trucks Stage 11 trucks. Trucks determine how a skateboard turns and how it lands grinds, and pros typically match hanger width to deck width for proper alignment. Most pro skaters stick with one truck brand for years once they have the feel dialed in.
What wheels does Riley Hawk ride?
Riley Hawk rides Spitfire Wheels wheels. Wheel size and hardness drive speed and grip — smaller, harder wheels favor technical street skating, while larger, softer wheels suit transition, park, and rougher terrain.
What shoes does Riley Hawk skate in?
Riley Hawk skates in Adidas. Skate shoes are built with reinforced toe caps, vulcanized or cupsole construction, and grippy gum rubber outsoles for board feel and durability. Pros often go through several pairs a month from heavy daily skating.
About Riley Hawk
Riley Hawk is an American professional street skateboarder from Carlsbad, California, born December 6, 1992. He is the son of Tony Hawk and his first wife, Cindy Dunbar. Rather than follow his father into vert, Hawk gravitated toward street skating and built his reputation entirely on his own terms. He turned pro for Baker Skateboards on his 21st birthday in December 2013 and was named Skateboarder Magazine's Amateur of the Year the same day. He has undergone reconstructive surgery on both ankles. He is also the frontman of punk band Warish, and in 2023 married Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love.
