Tony Magnusson Setup FAQ
What deck does Tony Magnusson ride?
Tony Magnusson rides a H-Street Tony Magnusson Pro Model 8.5″ deck in a 8.5" width as of 2026. Deck choice is the single biggest factor in a pro's setup — width affects stance and stability, while concave and construction drive pop and flick. You can shop the same H-Street Tony Magnusson Pro Model 8.5″ deck through the buy links in the setup above.
What trucks does Tony Magnusson use?
Tony Magnusson uses Independent Trucks Stage 11 trucks. Trucks determine how a skateboard turns and how it lands grinds, and pros typically match hanger width to deck width for proper alignment. Most pro skaters stick with one truck brand for years once they have the feel dialed in.
What shoes does Tony Magnusson skate in?
Tony Magnusson skates in Vans Millennium. Skate shoes are built with reinforced toe caps, vulcanized or cupsole construction, and grippy gum rubber outsoles for board feel and durability. Pros often go through several pairs a month from heavy daily skating.
About Tony Magnusson
Tony Magnusson is a Swedish professional skateboarder and entrepreneur from Tyresö, Stockholm, born February 23, 1963, known as "T-Mag." He started skating at 12, moved to the United States at 16, and began his professional career in 1983. In 1987 he co-founded H-Street Skateboards with Mike Ternasky, one of the first rider-owned companies in the industry. H-Street introduced a DIY approach to skate videos, shooting on home equipment at a faster pace than the major companies, which helped shift how the industry produced and consumed video content. The team included Ron Allen, Matt Hensley, and a young Danny Way. H-Street's Shackle Me Not (1988) and Hokus Pokus (1989) are considered landmark productions of the era. Magnusson also designed the Hell Concave board shape, an extended deep concave that has become standard. He co-founded Osiris Shoes in 1996 and was inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame in 2024.
