Rodney Mullen Setup FAQ

What deck does Rodney Mullen ride?

Rodney Mullen rides a Almost Uber 7.7 deck in a 7.7" width as of 2026. Deck choice is the single biggest factor in a pro's setup — width affects stance and stability, while concave and construction drive pop and flick. You can shop the same Almost Uber 7.7 deck through the buy links in the setup above.

What trucks does Rodney Mullen use?

Rodney Mullen uses Tensor Trucks 10 Lo Aluminum trucks. Trucks determine how a skateboard turns and how it lands grinds, and pros typically match hanger width to deck width for proper alignment. Most pro skaters stick with one truck brand for years once they have the feel dialed in.

What wheels does Rodney Mullen ride?

Rodney Mullen rides Bones Wheels STF V1 52mm wheels in 52mm. Wheel size and hardness drive speed and grip — smaller, harder wheels favor technical street skating, while larger, softer wheels suit transition, park, and rougher terrain.

About Rodney Mullen

Rodney Mullen is an American professional skateboarder from Gainesville, Florida, born August 17, 1966. He is universally credited as the most influential figure in the development of modern street skating, having invented the flatground ollie, the kickflip, the heelflip, the 360 flip, the impossible, and dozens of other tricks that form the foundation of virtually all contemporary street skateboarding. He won 34 of 35 freestyle contests over a decade, including the world championship at age 14, before transitioning those skills to street terrain. He was a member of Powell Peralta's Bones Brigade, then left to co-found World Industries with Steve Rocco in 1989. He later founded Tensor Trucks and co-founded Almost Skateboards with Daewon Song in 2002. He was inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame in 2013. Transworld named him the second most influential skateboarder of all time.
