Most Popular Skateboard Bushings

Which bushings do professional skateboarders actually ride? Ranked by usage across 22 pro setups.

What Pro Skaters Ride for Bushings

Bushings control how a truck turns, and most pros tune hardness to their own weight and style rather than sticking to one brand blindly. The numbers below come straight from 22 verified pro setups.

Bones Hard Bushings leads at 50.0%, with Bones Medium Bushings at 13.6%. Together that's 63.6% of every pro bushing choice we track. Bones Standard Bushings is the largest alternative at 9.1%, pushing the top three to 72.7% combined.

By Discipline

Which bushings dominate each style of skating, based on the pros who skate that discipline:

  • park : Bones Hard Bushings leads at 100.0% of 3 pros tracked.
  • vert : Bones Hard Bushings leads at 100.0% of 3 pros tracked.

How to Choose Your Bushings

Durometer (hardness) is the spec that actually matters, and it should scale with your body weight — lighter riders need softer bushings to turn at all, heavier riders need firmer ones to avoid wheel bite and sloppy turns. Shape (cone vs barrel) changes how the turn ramps up through the lean.

If you're unsure where to start, the top two brands above cover 63.6% of pros. Pick a medium durometer first and adjust from there — it's a cheap part to experiment with.
