Stevie Williams Setup FAQ

What deck does Stevie Williams ride?

Stevie Williams rides a DGK Jack Curtain "Mackin hoes and cheese" model (7.9) deck in a 7.9" width as of 2026. Deck choice is the single biggest factor in a pro's setup — width affects stance and stability, while concave and construction drive pop and flick. You can shop the same DGK Jack Curtain "Mackin hoes and cheese" model (7.9) deck through the buy links in the setup above.

What trucks does Stevie Williams use?

Stevie Williams uses Venture Trucks 5.0 Featherlight Hollows trucks. Trucks determine how a skateboard turns and how it lands grinds, and pros typically match hanger width to deck width for proper alignment. Most pro skaters stick with one truck brand for years once they have the feel dialed in.

What wheels does Stevie Williams ride?

Stevie Williams rides Gold Wheels 51mm Keelan Dadd wheels in 51mm. Wheel size and hardness drive speed and grip — smaller, harder wheels favor technical street skating, while larger, softer wheels suit transition, park, and rougher terrain.

What shoes does Stevie Williams skate in?

Stevie Williams skates in Supra. Skate shoes are built with reinforced toe caps, vulcanized or cupsole construction, and grippy gum rubber outsoles for board feel and durability. Pros often go through several pairs a month from heavy daily skating.

What bearings does Stevie Williams use?

Stevie Williams uses Bones Swiss bearings. Bearings determine roll speed and how long your wheels keep spinning, and a properly maintained set should last as long as your wheels with regular cleaning. Pros usually upgrade bearings before swapping wheels.

About Stevie Williams

Stevie Williams is an American professional skateboarder and entrepreneur from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, born December 17, 1979. He grew up skating at LOVE Park where he and his friends were dismissed by established skaters who called them "dirty ghetto kids," a phrase Williams later reclaimed. He hitchhiked from Philadelphia to California at 14 with no money and built his career through persistence, landing spots on the Chocolate Skateboards and DC Shoes teams after appearing in the 1999 Zoo York video Heads. He founded Dirty Ghetto Kids (DGK) Skateboards through Kayo Corp in 2002, which became one of the most culturally significant skateboard brands of the 2000s and one of the few Black-owned companies in the industry. Transworld named him the 27th most influential skateboarder of all time. He also founded the Asphalt Yacht Club clothing brand.
