Sakura Yosozumi is a Japanese professional park skateboarder from Iwade, Wakayama, born March 15, 2002. She started skating in 2013 after her older brother brought a board home, and trained for five hours after school on weekdays to accelerate her development. She won the 2018 Asian Games women's park gold in Jakarta. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics she won the inaugural women's Olympic park gold medal with a score of 60.09, including back-to-back 540s, one of five gold medals Japan won across the four skateboarding events at those Games. She won X Games gold at Chiba 2022. She also coaches young skaters at a private park in Wakayama and was previously mentored on the 540 by Brazilian vert legend Sandro Dias via video call.
